SMS Consent Information

The appointment SMS program will begin only after required messaging approvals and valid consent.

This page describes our verbal consent procedure. It is not a record of any individual patient’s consent.

Would you like to receive text messages from Saint Lucie Acupuncture about your appointments, including confirmations, reminders, rescheduling updates, and cancellation requests? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for assistance. Text messaging is optional and is not required to receive treatment. 1. Collect verbal consent in person at 1775 SW Gatlin Blvd, Suite 204, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34953, or by phone with clinic staff at (772) 444-7172.
2. The patient provides or confirms their mobile number. Staff read the entire script and obtain an explicit yes or no BEFORE any appointment SMS.
3. Staff record the patient’s mobile number, explicit consent granted or declined, how consent was collected, the date and time, and the staff member recording it in the clinic’s consent history.
4. No preselected SMS consent. Consent is separate from email and treatment, does not authorize marketing, and declining does not affect treatment.
5. STOP suppresses texts and cannot be overridden by a checkbox. Re-enrollment requires a documented valid new opt-in and the applicable provider process, not an automatic reset.
